Privacy policy

1. Who we are

Alcore Enterprises Limited runs Alcore MCS and decides how personal data on this website, in lender applications and in our own customer accounts is used. Borrowers' data in a lender's workspace belongs to that lender: its own privacy notice, on its own web address, explains how it uses it, and we process that data only on the lender's instructions.

2. What we collect

From lenders who apply: company details, licence details, contact details, and the names, ID or passport numbers and nationality of directors and owners, with the documents uploaded. From people who use the console or a workspace: name, email, phone, sign-in records and the changes they make. From everyone: basic technical records such as the address a request came from, kept for security.

3. Why we use it

To check that a lender is licensed and who owns and runs it before it goes live, to provide and secure the service, to bill our customers, to answer questions, and to meet our legal obligations. We do not use your data for advertising and we never sell it.

4. Who we share it with

Only those who help us run the service, such as hosting, email and SMS providers, under contracts that protect the data; and regulators, courts or the police when the law requires.

5. Where it is kept

Data is stored on secured servers. Where a provider is in another country, we make sure the data is protected as the law of Uganda requires. A lender that runs Alcore MCS on its own servers keeps its data there.

6. How long we keep it

For as long as we serve a lender and afterwards for as long as the law requires us to keep business and financial records. Applications that are not approved are kept only as long as needed to show how we decided, then deleted.

7. How we protect it

Connections are encrypted, each lender's data is kept apart from the others, access is limited to the people who need it, and important actions are recorded in an audit log.

8. Your rights

Under the data protection law of Uganda you may ask to see the data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, and object to how we use it. Contact us below. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the data protection authority.

9. Cookies

We use only the cookies the service needs: one that keeps you signed in and one that remembers the appearance you chose. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.

10. Changes to this policy

We will post any change here with the date it takes effect, and tell our customers about important changes in advance.
