Terms of service

In effect from Oct 14, 2026

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

Alcore Enterprises Limited provides Alcore MCS, software that licensed lenders use to run their lending business. These terms apply to every lender that uses Alcore MCS and to the people who use it on a lender's behalf. Borrowers deal with their lender, under the lender's own terms.

2. Applying and keeping your account

To use Alcore MCS a lender applies and passes our checks. You must give us true, complete information and tell us when it changes, including your licence. We may refuse an application, or suspend a workspace whose licence lapses or whose use breaks these terms.

3. Your licence and the law

You are responsible for holding a valid licence and for following the laws that apply to your lending, including on interest and charges, disclosure, debt collection and consumer protection. The compliance features in Alcore MCS help you do this; they are not legal advice and do not replace it.

4. Your borrowers' data

You control the personal data of your clients and staff, and we process it on your behalf under our data processing agreement. You must have a lawful basis and the consents you need, give borrowers your privacy notice, and be registered with the data protection authority where the law requires.

5. Acceptable use

You must not use Alcore MCS for unlicensed or unlawful lending, to harass borrowers, to contact people about another person's debt, or to read borrowers' contacts or messages. You must not try to break into, copy or overload the service, or share sign-in details.

6. Plans and fees

Fees follow your plan, which is measured on active borrowers. We invoice as agreed in your order. We give notice before changing prices, and changes apply from your next billing period.

7. The service

We work to keep Alcore MCS available, secure and backed up, and we tell you in advance about planned maintenance when we can. No online service can be guaranteed to be uninterrupted or error-free.

8. Suspension and ending

You may stop using Alcore MCS at the end of any billing period. If either of us ends the service, you can export your data for a reasonable period first. We keep records for as long as the law requires, then delete them.

9. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses or lost profits, and our total liability in any year is limited to the fees you paid us in that year. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will tell you about important changes before they take effect; continuing to use Alcore MCS after that means you accept them.

11. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Uganda. We will first try to settle any dispute by talking; if that fails, the courts of Uganda decide.
